Connect the agent to systems only you have
Point an action at your own endpoint. The agent collects the details it needs in the conversation, sends them to your API and answers using what comes back.

What happens in the conversation
Inputs you define
List the details your endpoint needs and the agent asks for them in the conversation before it calls.
Secret headers
API keys go in secret headers that can't be read back after you save them.
Test before it goes live
Run a test call from the action form and see exactly what your endpoint returns.
Guarded calls
Every call is checked against private network addresses, has a 10-second limit and a capped response size.
Switch it on
- Step 1
On the Actions page, add a Call your own API action.
- Step 2
Enter the endpoint, any headers, the inputs it needs and when the agent should call it.
- Step 3
Run a test call, then switch it on.
Good to know
If you change the endpoint's host, saved secret headers are held back from test calls until you enter them again.
A slow or failing endpoint never leaves the customer waiting: the call stops after 10 seconds.
Questions
Keys go in secret headers, which can't be read back after you save them and are only ever sent to the endpoint you configured.
Anything with an HTTP endpoint: your order system, CRM, booking tool or an automation platform webhook.
