Data Deletion Instructions

Businesses use orbitbase to answer the messages their customers send on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack and website chat. This page explains how to have your information deleted, whether you messaged one of those businesses or run a orbitbase account yourself.
1. If you messaged a business
When you message a business that uses orbitbase, that business controls your conversation and contact details, and we store them on its behalf. The quickest route is to ask that business to delete your information.
You can also ask us directly. Email privacy@orbitbase.io with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:
The name of the business you messaged.
The platform you used: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack or website chat.
The name, username or phone number shown on the account you messaged from, so we can find your conversations.
2. What we delete
Once we've matched your request to your conversations, we delete your messages, conversation history, contact record and any files you sent, and we tell the business we've done so. We confirm by email when deletion is complete, within 30 days of your request.
We may ask for more information to confirm the conversations are yours, so that nobody can delete someone else's data. Copies held in encrypted backups are removed as those backups expire. Anything a business has copied out of the Service into its own systems is outside our control, so ask the business for that directly.
3. Removing orbitbase from your Facebook account
If you signed in with Facebook to connect a Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number to orbitbase, you can withdraw that access at any time:
On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
Open Business integrations, or Apps and websites.
Find orbitbase, select Remove, and confirm.
4. If you run an orbitbase account
Removing Facebook access stops connected Meta channels from working, but it doesn't delete the data they hold. Workspace owners and admins can delete that data themselves:
Delete a contact, with their notes and files, from Leads.
Disconnect a channel from Channels to stop receiving its messages.
Download a copy of your data from Settings → Workspace before deleting anything.
Delete a workspace, and everything in it, from Settings → Workspace.
To delete individual conversations, email privacy@orbitbase.io from the address on your account.
