Answer support email in the same thread, minutes after it lands
Switch email on and your workspace gets its own address straight away. Forward your existing support address to it, add a few DNS records, and the agent that answers your DMs answers your inbox too — replying from your own address, in the customer's thread.

What your agent does on Email
An address from day one
Every workspace gets an address on orbitbase's mail domain the moment email is switched on. Rename it to suit your business, and it never uses one of your plan's channels.
Your own support address
Forward support@yourcompany.com to your agent and verify your domain. Replies go out from the address the customer wrote to, so nothing about your email changes for them.
Replies stay in the thread
The agent replies in the customer's thread and reads only what's new, leaving out quoted history and signatures. A customer with three open questions gets three separate conversations.
Never answers a robot
Out-of-office replies, bounces, newsletters and other automatic mail land in your inbox but never get an answer, so two auto-responders can't email each other forever.
Connect Email
- Step 1
Open Channels and switch email on: your address is live straight away.
- Step 2
On Growth or above, add your own support address and forward it to your OrbitBase address — guides for Google Workspace, Gmail and Microsoft 365 are built in.
- Step 3
Add the DNS records shown for your domain, and replies start going out from your own address.
What you need
Your existing mailbox keeps working. You forward a copy of each email; nothing changes about where your mail is delivered.
Until your domain's DNS records check out, replies come from your OrbitBase address with your own address as the reply-to, so customers' answers still come back to you.
If a reply bounces or the customer marks it as spam, the agent stops writing and the conversation goes to your team.
Questions
No. Every plan includes an OrbitBase address that doesn't use one of your channels. Your own addresses are on Growth and above, and each one counts as one channel on your plan. Replies count toward your AI reply allowance, like any other channel.
No. You keep your mail provider and mailbox. You add a forwarding rule for your support address and a few DNS records for sending, and that's all.
Yes. Email conversations land in the same shared inbox as every other channel. A teammate can take over at any point, and their reply goes out in the same thread, from the same address.
